Marigold Foods Issues Allergy Alert on Undeclared Nuts in Ice
Cream
Minneapolis, MN - October 2, 2002 -- Marigold Foods, of Minneapolis, Minnesota
is recalling Kemps Premium Chocolate Chip Ice Cream half gallons because it
may contain undeclared nuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity
to cashews, filberts, hazelnuts or almonds run the risk of an allergic reaction
if they consume this product. No allergic reactions have been reported to date.
This ice cream was distributed through supermarkets in Minnesota, Wisconsin,
Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Michigan. This recall affects
only paper half gallons with the code date: 196-2-2 printed on the rim
of the lid. This product was manufactured at plant #27-621. The UPC bar code
for this product is 41483-02819.
Consumers should return the ice cream to the place of purchase for a full refund.
