Announce Recall of Kitchen Krumblers Candle The following product safety recall was conducted voluntarily by the firm in cooperation with the CPSC. Consumers should stop using the product immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of product: Kitchen Krumblers Apple Cinnamon Candle Units: About 1,200 units Manufacturer/Importer: Mostly Memories Inc., of Ozark, Mo. Hazard: The dried apples and cinnamon in the candle can ignite causing a flare up and breaking the glass, posing a fire hazard. INCIDENTS/INJURIES: Three reports have been received of a candle flaring up, breaking the glass, and spreading fire. No injuries have been reported. Description: The scented candle is housed in a clear glass holder and has a crumbled appearance with color variations. It contains slices of dried apple and cinnamon sticks in the wax. The candle is 3 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches high. “Kitchen Krumblers” is labeled at the base of the candle. The candle was sold separately or in a set with another candle not involved in this recall. Sold at: The Country Door Catalog and Web site from February 2004 through May 2004 for about $12. Manufactured In: USA Remedy: Consumers should stop using the candle and return it to Country Door for a refund.
